The Japanese Prime Minister, Mr Yoshida (above), was summoned before a Diet investigation committee to-day because of charges that he had accepted a 1,000,000 yen bribe in connexion with the textile scandal at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Mr Yoshida said he acknowledged receipt of the money, which was used as party funds. Mr Yoshida will be summoned before the committee again.—Tokyo, Dec. 13.
