MATTHEWS—On December 7, 1948, at his \residence, Oxford road, Rangiora, William, dearly loved husband of the late Amy Mary Matthews; aged 65 years. McGEORGE—On December 6, 1948, at her residence, 55 Pitcairn crescent, Bryndwr, Gertrude Catherine Hellen, dearly loved wife of Samuel Harper McGeorge, and loved mother of Eunice, Valerie and Samuel. SHAW—On December 7, 1948, at his residence, Andrewville lane, Temuka, George Barclay, dearly beloved husband of Charlotte Shaw, and loved father of Hazel, Lily, Moana, Eileen, Janie, Barclay, and Rex; in his 74th year.
