REPORTED- ATTEMPT ON LIFE

LONDON, September 23. The Trieste correspondent of the British United Press quotes an Astra News Agency report which says that Marshal Tito escaped an assassination attempt while travelling in his motorcar.

Partisan elements mined a bridge over which'Marshal Tito and his party were to pass during his recent visit to Dalmatia, according to the Astra News Agency report. The report said the plot was discovered in time.
