ARREST IN WARSAW
SPOKESMAN FOR CATHOLIC HIERARCHY (Rec. 7 p.m.) LONDON. August 31. “Polish security police have arrested Monseigneur Zygmunt Kaczynski, the leading spokesman for the Catholic hierarchy in Poland,” says the Warsaw correspondent of the Associated Press. “Monseigneur Kaczynski was editor and director of the powerful weekly Catholic newspaper ‘Tygodnik Warsawski.’ He was Minister of Education in the war-time Polish Government in exile.”
Scotland Yard Terrorist Inquiry.— Special Branch officers from Scotland Yard investigating intended terrorist bomb attacks on prominent people m Britain interviewed a number of people and received valuable information. A conference, under Commander L. J. Burt, head of the Special Branch, has planned new moves to round up the terrorists.—London, August 31. _ _
