BALLANTYNE’S FIRE VICTIMS

DATE OF INQUESTS DECIDED The Coroner (Mr F. F. Reid) has stated that the inquests into the deaths of the victims of Ballantyne’f fire on November 18. 1947, will be held at 2.15 p.m. on Friday, September 10, at the Magistrate’s Court. Relatives are . being informed by the police that they may attend the inquests if they wish. Though much of the evidence will be formal, the police will have to bring sufficient evidence to prove the date and circumstances of the deaths of those named. The police case is being prepared by Sergeant A. R. Grant.
