SECRET POLICE FOR RUMANIA
FORMATION ANNOUNCED IN DECREE LONDON, August 30. “A decree announced to-day the establishment of secret State police in Rumania,” says the Bucharest correspondent of the British United Press. “The new organisation will be part of the Ministry of the Interior. Its aim is described as ‘defending the democratic conquests of the people and safeguarding the Rumanian Popular Republic against enemies from within the country and abroad.’ ”
