HIROSHIMA PEACE FESTIVAL.—The residents of Hiroshima, Japan, recently celebrated the third anniversary of the dropping of the first atomic bomb on their city by holding a civic peace festival. In this photograph a Japanese student choir is seen at the gathering. The festival was attended by Lieutenant-General H. C. H. Robertson (Commander-in-Chief of the British Commonwealth Occupation Forces), who, in conveying greetings from General MacArthur, reminded the Japanese that their nation’s aggression had caused the disaster.
