MISS WOOTTON IN VANCOUVER

(Rec. 8 p.m.) VANCOUVER, Aug. 21. Miss Mary Wootton (“Miss New Zealand”) was presented with an umbrella' and overshoes on her arrival in Vancouver in a driving rainstorm. She will be the guest of the Royal Society of St. George at a private dinner in her honour to-night. She will fly to San Francisco to-morrow.

Miss Wootton said she was shocked to hear that the “Miss Vancouver” contest was conducted on bathing suit beauty alone.

Miss New Zealand (Miss Mary Wootton) will be returning to the Dominion by British Commonwealth Pacific Airlines. The National Airways Corporation inadvertently reported that British Canadian Pacific Airlines would be used.
