Mr George A. Hansen, a farmer, of Ekatahuna, has been appointed a Government member of the New Zealand Dairy Board in the place of Mr C. Morgan Williams. Mr Williams has resigned his position as he has become a member of the Dairy Products Marketing Commission. Mr Hansen was chairman of directors of the Kaiparoro Dairy Company for a number of years ana has been a member of the board of the company for the last 30 years. He has been a member of the Wellington Rural Land Sales Committee since its inception. He stood for Wairarapa as a Labour candidate at the last general election and was defeated by Mr G. H. Mackley (National) by a few -hundred votes. — (F.0.0.R.)
