Minor Fires.—Two calls to fires were received by the Christchurch Central Fire Brigade yesterday. The . first, at 1.45 p.m., was to a house at 79 Forfar street, St. Albans, occupied by Mr Victor Hunter Main. A saucepan had been left over a burning gas jet,' and neighbours saw smoke, and gave the alarm. The second call was to a chimney fire, at 176 Papanui road, occupied by Mr Richard John Eyre, ’ at 4.25 p.m.
