CHARGES AGAINST WOMAN
STAY OF PROCEEDINGS FILED (P.A.) DUNEDIN, July 20. A stay of proceedings having been filefll by the direction of the Solicitor-General, the bill of indictment against Phyiu* Freeman, aged 33, a domestic, was called in the list of cases set down for the Supreme Court session which openea to-day. In May, Freeman was sentenced to lw imprisonment for the murder of Mil Joyce Maysie Morrison, at Enfield, near Oamaru. The stay of proceedings referred .to two? other counts, one that Freeman atternpw® to murder Miss Ina May Pearce, ana inc •other that, with intent to injure Pearce, she caused her to take a no»ouB thing.
