Architectural Association.-TStudents designs were criticised and judged by Mr Seward, at a recent meeting of the Christchurch Architectural Association. The placings were as follows: —Senior, a reception stand for the Royal visit: Mr D. E. Donnithorne 1, Mr G. Crowe 2. Junior, street decorations for the Royal visit: Mr G. Sellars 1, Mr H. Ward 2. “Cat’s Eyes” on Cambridge Terrace. —ln response to a request by Cr. Mary McLean, the City Council traffic department has authorised installation of “cat’s eye” reflectors on the concrete coping on the river side footpath of Cambridge terrace, approaching Colombo street from the east. Irish Club.— At a meeting held at the Trades Hall last Sunday it was decided to form an Irish Club in Christ- I church. The object of the club will be to provide a meeting p 7 ace for those who desire the preservation of Irish customs, culture, and ideals The organisation will be non-political and non-sectarian. Similar clubs formed in the North Island have met with success. . -
