LONDON DOCKERS BACK AT WORK
LONDON, July 1. All dockers have now returned to work in the Port of London and on the Merseyside. The men are reported to be working hard and well in an effort to clear the tremendous accumulation of merchandise as soon as possible. The secretary of the Transport and General Workers’ Union (Mr Arthur Deakin) to-day began discussions with the National Dock Labour Board on the question of amending the board’s disciplinary powers and generally reviewing the present dock labour scheme.
