SOCIALIST VIEW OF MARSHALL PLAN
RESOLUTION APPROVED AT WARSAW TALKS
(Rec. 7 p.m.) WARSAW, June 7. A meeting of Left Wing Socialists from France, Italy, Finland, Poland, Hungary, and Czechoslovakia adopted a resolution that the Marshall Plan “is one of the weapons in the American imperialistic offensive aimed at checking Europe’s economic development.” The resolution added that the Eastern European nations “can maintain healthy economic relations with America and use rational American credit when it does not violate national sovereignty and independence. The Marshall Plan promoters have failed to accept this thesis.”
