CANADIAN ATTITUDE TO JEWISH STATE
RECOGNITION PROBABLE (Rec. 7 p.m.) OTTAWA, May 15. Canada will probably recognise the new Jewish State in Palestine after consultation with the British Government.
A Canadian Cabinet spokesman said last night: “We hope the Great Powers will follow parallel lines, and the smaller Powers would naturally -fall into line.”
Lord Dukeston Dead.— Lord Dukeston, formerly Mr Charles Dukes, a former president of the Trade Union Congress, has died. He was 67.—London, May 15.
