Air Transport of Furniture
Air transport of furniture from the West Coast to the North Island, initiated as a .temporary measure to overcome a shipping bottleneck, is growing in popularity. The delays in shipping caused some inconvenience and expenses for storage, but those who have had furniture transported by air, claim that the method is cheaper. The furniture is sent to Blenheim by rail and loaded in a Dakota aircraft for the North Island. It takes five days to arrive at Paraparaumu from Greymouth.
