(P.A.) AUCKLAND, March 22. “In the meantime we can only-* await developments in the hope that wiser counsels will prevail,” said the Rev. A.'Astor, Rabbi of the Jewish community in Auckland, when commenting on the United States request to the United Nations to shelve the plan to partition Palestine. He said that the proposal came as a profound shock. If the original verdict were now reversed and a trusteeship created it would place upon thk united Nations problems far graver than the original scheme was mtended to solve.
