The weather lorecast for Canterbury Issued at 9 p.m. by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, and dealing with the 20 hours following the time of issue, is as follows: Situation: a depression is passing to the south of New Zealand. Forecast to 5 p.m.: moderate south-west winds. Weather fair, with moderate day temperatures. WEST COAST The forecast for the West Coast of the South Island is:— Moderate or fresh south-west winds. Scattered showers, but increasing fair intervals. Temperatures moderate. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER The weather yesterday was warm and funny, with light north-east winds. The xnaximum temperature was 67.7 degrees. At 1 o’clock this morning the sky i, was cloudy, and there was a very light E north-east wind.
