Overseas Arte Scholarships.—Reference to the lack off opportunity for yoimg people to undertake advanced study in cultural arts in New Zealand was made at the second annual conference of the New Zealand Competition Festivals Association. The conference decided to examine the possibility of enabling tudents to proceed overseas by offering scholarships. The executive committee was elected as follows: Messrs H. F. Brooker (Wellington), J. B. Williams (Christchurch) F. W. Horner (Hawera). J. Glass (Timaru). D. N. Holland (Lower Hutt), J. V. Stevens (Lower Hutt), K. J. Lemmon (Wellington).—(P.A.)
