MINOR FIRES
The Christchurch Central Fire Brigade was called U the home of Hector Gordon, 10 Norfolk vreet, Papanui, where an electric stove had become overheated, at 6.30 p.m. yesterday. The stove was damaged.
The brigade received a call to a motor-car on fire in Union street, New Brighton, at 8.25 p.m. The fire was caused by a short circuit, and the wiring was damaged slightly. An ironing board was damaged, by a fire caused by an iron which was left switched on at 431 Gloucester street. The brigade received a call at 8.46 p.m.
