LONDON, March 16. Lady Violet Bonham Carter, who is resigning the patronship of the International Youth Council, said: “I have been aware for some time of a growing Communist tendency within the council.” She added that she and Sir Stafford Cripps had founded the council in 1941 as an all-party or non-party body of youths of all nations which would work together for world friendship and peace. Lady Violet Bonham Carter is the elder daughter of the first Eart of Oxford and Asquith.
