MATCH TO BE PLAYED AT ASHBURTON
Because of transport difficulties, the management committee of the Ashburton County Cricket Association at a meeting last evening decided against sending a junior team to Christchurch to play a match against a Christchurch Suburban Association junior team. The subject arose when a letter suggesting the match was received from the Christchurch Suourban Cricket Association, expressing the association's .willingness , ts?.., ,arrange a junior match to be played.- iwher in Christchurch or Ashburton. Because the juniors had not played a match outside Ashburton during the season, a member suggested sending them to Christchurch. The suggestion was ruled out, . however, when the chairman (Mr R. H. Biggar) mentioned the difficulties he had met with recently in getting transport for games away from Ashbur-
After some discussion it was decided to reply to the letter agreeing to play a match on April 3 at Ashburton, the ground for the match to be arranged in the meantime.
