DECISION BY DR. BENES
ALL-PARTY CABINET DEMANDED (Rec. 1.10 a.m.) LONDON, Feb. 25. Reuter’s correspondent in Prague says that the Czech President (Dr. Benes), in a letter he handed to the Prime Minister (Mr Gottwald) after an audience of two hours and a half yesterday, and published today, said that since he was convinced that democracy was the only reliable and lasting foundation of decent, dignified human life, he insisted on a parliamentary democracy and parliamentary government on the basis of the National Front which existed befor the crisis.
