OFFICIAL FORECASTS '"Die Press” Special Service WELLINGTON. February 25. The weather forecast for Canterbury; Issued at 9 p.m. by the Meteorological Office. Wellington, and dealing with the 20 hours following the time of issue is as follows: An anti-cyclone in the Tasman Sea extends cn to New Zealand. There is a stationary front north-east of the North Island. Forecast: moderate to fresh south-west winds, later decreasing. Weather fair and cool. Further cutlook fair. WEST COAST The following is the forecast for the West Coast of the South Island:— Moderate variable winds, southerly directions predominating. Weather fine and cool. Further outlook: fair. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER The weather in Christchurch yesterday Was fine but cool (maximum temperature 59.3 degrees), with fresh south-west Winds. At 1 o’clock this morning the sky I was overcast and there was a light I west wind. The barometer, at 30.04 in I (1G17.1 millibars} was rising slowly. Meteorological observations taken at the
