N.Z. GOLD MALLET COMPETITION
WIN FOR MRS R. GILBERT, OF NELSON
(P.A.) NELSON. Feb. 25. The New Zealand Croquet Association’s gold mallet competition was won by Mrs R. Gilbert (Nelson) who beat Mrs H Howard (Hinemoa), 26-22, in the final. There were 24 competitors from all parts of New Zealand, and those who quailfield for post-section play were Mesdames Gilbert (Nelson), V. Allan (Wellington), P L Jackson CNelson), H. Howard (Hinernoa), L. L. Bellringer (New Plymouth), M. Heather (Hinemoa), and J. Lockett (Wanganui), and Captain Belcher (Natal).
