LITTLE DELAY FOR PASSENGERS PLANS FOR CHARTER FLIGHTS (P.A.) AUCKLAND, February 24. • With the present frequency of charter flights arranged by Tasman Empire Airways during the grounding of its flying-boat fleet for engine modifications. all passengers will be carried within a few days of their original booking dates. An aircraft of National Airways Corporation has been chartered by the company to fly Auckland passengers to Ohakea to connect with Qantas Airways Constellation. ‘ which will make a return flight from Sydney to Ohakea to-morrow afternoon. Inward passengers will return to Auckland by the same aircraft. A Skymaster aircraft of Trans-Aus-tralia Airlines will also arrive at Whenuapai to-morrow morning, and other flights will be made by Skymasters on Thursday morn in e and on Sunday.

In addition, a Hythe flying-boat belonging to the British Overseas Airways Corporation will make a trip from Rose Bay to Mechanics Bay on Thursday night, returning to Sydney on Friday morning. Work on the modifications to the engines is being carried out by maintenance crews at Hobsonville and Mechanics Bay. and to date seven engines have been removed from the grounded aircraft for overhaul.
