Sir,—The Canterbury Lawn Tenuis Association is to be congratulated on its enterprise in arranging this recent visit of the Australian team. Those who attended, particularly on Saturday last, enjoyed a rare treat. It must have been gratifying to the officials to find that the public responded so well to that enterprise. It is refreshing to see such an interest taken in such a healthy sport; it is a timely offset to this orgy of racing which the radio —and the newspapers too—give such prominence to.—Yours, etc. „ , true’ sport February 24, 1948.
