RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL ORDER FOR THE ADOPTION OF EXISTING CLASSIFICATION OF THE ELLESMERE LANDS DRAINAGE BOARD. IT IS HEREBY PUBLICLY NOTIFIED that at a Special Meeting of the North Canterbury Catchment Board held at its Offices, Chamber of Commerce Building, corner Worcester street and Oxford terrace, Christchurch, at 10 a.m. on Friday, the 30th January. 1948, the following resolution was adopted:— THAT the North Canterbury Catchment. Board, pursuant to the powers vested in it by Section 95 of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act. 1941, Section 13 of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Amendment Act. 1946, and all other powers in that behalf, it enabling hereby resolves by Special Order:— “That the classification for rating purposes by the Ellesmere Lands Drainage Board of the lands situated within the district of the said Ellesmere Lands Drainage Board prior to the dissolution thereof and the proportions fixed in relation to such classification shall continue in force as if they were a classification made and proportions fixed pursuant to the provisions of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act, 1941, specially for tne purposes of a separate rate upon all property liable to be rated within the former district of the said Ellesmere Lands Drainage Board for such period as ti e Catchment Board may determine but expiring not later than six years after the date of dissolution of the said.
