OBITUARY

MR HAROLD ANSLEY

Mr Harold Ansley, whose death occurred last week, was a well-known Christchurch businessman and for more. than 50 years was associated with the clothing trade Beginning work with Kinvig and Reynolds, he was until a few years ago manager of Roberts (N.Z.), Ltd.

Mr Ansley played football for the Merivale Club and was an active and one of the earliest members of the New Brighton Surf Club- He represented the Richmond and East Christchurch Clubs in swimming competitions and was a member of the New Brighton Trotting Club and Canterbury Commercial Travellers’ and Warehousemen’s Association. Julian Llewellyn Dove, a former headmaster of Denstone and Wanganui Collegiate School.
