Standard of English
The views of technical colleges throughout New Zealand about the comments made on the standard of English by the Chancellor of the University of New Zealand (Sir David Smith) are being sought in a circular sent from Christchurch by Mr T. W. West (president) and Mr J. B. McBride (secretary) of the N£w Zealand Technical Education Association. Mr West,said last evening that if opinion was sufficiently uniform, he should be able to make a statement soon. Otherwise the matter would be discussed at a meeting of the Dominion executive in April
