U.S. FIRM’S CONTRACT WITH JAPAN
STEEL IN RETURN FOR COAL DELIVERIES (N.Z.P.A.—Reuter— Copyright) NEW YORK, January 11. Yaras and Company, one'of the 104 American concerns initiated by the Allied Occupation Command last July to help Japan to restore her foreign trade, has announced the signing of a 7,000,000 dollars contract for steel and coal with the Japanese Board of Trade. Under the contract the company would deliver to Japan 30.000 long tons of coking coal and Japan, in return, would deliver 20,000 metric tons of rolled steel sheet and 5000 metric tons Qi galvanised sheet.
