RECORD KILLINGS AT WAINGAWA
RUSH OF LAMBS AND SHEEP (P.A.) MASTERTON. January 8. A record kill of fat lambs and sheep was established at the Waingawa Freezing Works yesterday, when 8089 lambs and 373 sneep were slaughtered Had all lambs been handled, the kill would have been 8644. Because of the dry weather, farmers were rushing their iambs into the works yesterday. Employee;- of the Waingawa works ate working long hours at high oressuie to handle the iambs. This week the entry of cattip and nigs to the works has been suspended to enable concentration on sheen and lambs
