CITY PREMISES ENTERED
THIEVES MAKE POOR HAUL
Three premises in the city were broken into on Monday night, but nothing of value was stolen. Yesterday morning a milkman, who returned to the premises of the Christchurch Dairy Company, Ltd., at 51 Tuam street, found that someone had entered by a window and ransacked the office.
Thieves who entered the premises of the E.M.F. Electric Company (N.Z.). Ltd., 169 Durham street, caused some damage but all they obtained was 30s in cash. A month ago the same premises were entered and £6 stolen. A workshop at 55 Tuam street, occupied by Max Mills, Ltd., refrigerator distributors, was also broken into. An attempt was made to force a way into tne premises of J. Sutherland and Son, coopers, at 68 Tuam street, but it failed.
