Philippines Consul-General In Australia.—Mr Manuel Alzate, a member of the pre-war National Assembly, has been chosen as the first Consul-Gen-eral of the Philinpines in Australia and New Zealand. He will have his headquarters in Sydney, and be accredited to Australia and New Zealand. He represented the Philinoines at the recent conference tn Australia of Western Pacific aviation and meteorological officials.—Manila, December 26
