ITALIAN SHIPPING LINE
REGULAR SERVICE TO AUSTRALIA SYDNEY, December 26. The first regular service .between Italy and Australia, since the outbreak of the war will start when the 8000ton motor-ship Luxor sails from Naples on January 25 with 600 passengers and 3500 tons of cargo, including art silk and cotton piecegoods and roofing tiles. Passengers will consist chiefly of the wives and children of Italians already naturalised in Australia, and 140 displaced persons. Another passenger liner will leave Naples about March 1. Already there are large numbers of bookings for the return journeys of these ships. The migrant shin Misr has reached Fremantle with 751 passengers of 15 nationalities, including Maltese, Cyoriots. Greeks, and Italians. Conditions aboard are much better, than when the ship visited Australia last April. Passenger accommodation has been refitted and sanitary facilities increased. Third-class passengers had turkev, fish, and cakes for dinner on Christmas Eve.
