(P.A.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Dec. 26. The weather was fine but overcast for the first day of the Taranaki Jockey Club’s Christmas meeting. The track was fast. The totalisator handled £51,851 against £52,739 10s for the first day last year. An inquiry was opened after the last race, the Tikorangi Hack Handicap, into alleged crossing by Night School, and dividends were held up. The judicial committee’s decision was that the judge’s placings should stand. Results:—
