NEW CARGO LINER FOR PACIFIC TRADE

The Shaw Savill and Albion Line’s passenger and cargo liner Gothic <15.000 tons), which is designed for the New Zealand and Australian trade, Was launched at Wallsend-on-Tyne. She is a sister ship of the Corinthic. The fourth ship of the class will be launched at Birkenhead on December 30. The owners have announced that they are placing orders for three more cargo vessels to help to replace those lost during the war. These will be w.OOO-ton vessels similar to the Corinthic and the Gothic, but they will not carry passengers.
