O. M. BOLD RETURNS TO NEW ZEALAND IPX) AUCKLAND. Nov. 17. The New Zealand lawn tennis doubles champion, O. M. Bold, of Hutt Valley, arrived in Auckland to-day as member of the crew of the Waipawa, after playing in tennis tournaments in England and Scotland from May until September. Bold went to England as a member of the crew of the Largs Bay last March. Bold said he had played tennis every week during his tour and had competed in 19 tournaments. He had reached the finals of 24 events, and had won 16 of the finals. He had triple successes in tournaments at Bedford. Paignton, and Montrose, and in the Scottish championships at St. Andrews. His partner in the | mixed doubles event of the Scottish' championships was Mrs Little, who as ; Miss Dorothy Round, won the women’s singles at Wimbledon in 1934. «|
