Broken HHI Proprietary.—The Broken Hill Proprietary Company. Ltd., has raised its interim half-yearly dividend from 9d to lOd a share, equal to a rate of 81-3 per cent, per annum. This is the highest dividend rate paid since 1939, when it was 121 per cent. In 1940 capital was increased by £4,725,372, and the final halfyearly dividend was paid on the Increased capital at a rate of 7 J per cent, per annum. This remained unchanged in 1941. but fell to 61 ner cent, in 1942, and to 5 per cent. In 1943, at which it remained until raised to 71 per cent, last year.
