POSTAL SERVICE
Sir, —The Post Office and Tramways Board both were instituted to render service to the public at large. Can any valid reason be offered why trams and buses should not carry posting boxes, to be cleared each trip at the Square?—Yours, etc.. WEE MACGREGOR. October 7, 1947. [The correspondent’s suggestion had been considered by the postal authorities on several occasions; but it had been found to be impracticable, said the Chief Postmaster (Mr D. R. Thomson).]
