AERO CLUBS TO BE SUB- • CONTRACTORS (P.A.) WELLINGTON. October 8. Cabinet had approved of empowering the National Airways Corporation to appoint aero clubs as sub-contrac-tors for charter, taxi, and air ambulance services, said the Minister in charge of the Air Department (Mr F. Jones) to-day. The Minister said that in general aero clubs would be the exclusive sub-contractors to the corporation for this type of work. In exceptional circumstances the Minister might approve of some other person to operate a service as sub-contractor to the corporation.
