CHATHAMS PASSED ON SUNDAY

“The Press” Special Service wt « AUCKLAND. October 7. News of the barque Pamir which left Wellington last Friday for England via Cape Hom was ’contained in a radio message received by Mrs C. Kingston, of Sandringham, whose father. Captain H. Collier, is in command of the ship. The message, which was sent on Sunday, said that the Pamir was then passing the Chatham Islands and that* the weather had been fine. The Chathams are 422 miles south-east of Wellington.
