MINERS’ SUPPORT OF MR SHINWELL MR ATTLEE WARNED BY MR HORNER (Rec. 10 p.m.) LONDON, Oct. 6. The Communist Secretary of the National Union of Mineworkers (Mr Arthur Horner), speaking at Manchester, warned the Prime Minister (Mr Attlee) not to remove Mr Emanuel Shinwell from the post of Minister of Fuel and Power in any contemplated Cabinet changes.’ “We do not want to see a Minister with the miners’ support' sacrificed to appease the Federation of British Industries,” said Mr Horner. Reuters reports that Mr Abe Moffat, Scottish area president of the National Union of Mineworkers, declared at Glagow that it would be unwise for the Government to move Mr Shinwell.
