Burns, Philp (South Sea).—This company has declared an interim dividend of 9d a share (Fijian business), payable October 15.
Mount Morgan.—This company’s return for the four weeks ended September 21 showed a net profit of £llB4. British Tobacco Co. (Australia), Ltd.— The directors have declared a dividend on issued preference shares at the rate of flj per cent, per annum for three months ending October 31, payable on October 31.
Australian Iron and Steel, Limited.— This company is paying a final half-year’s dividend of 3J per cent, on preference shares on November 1. Bond’s Industries Accounts.—An increase of £25,588 to £75,216 in net profit of Bond’s Industries, Ltd., Sydney, for the year ended June 30 more than offsets last year’s decline. Profit is reached after doubling tax provision at £56,500 and allowing £951 more for depreciation at £45,414. Ordinary dividend is raised by 1 to 8 per cent., requiring £36,548, and 6 pei cent, preference dividend absorbs £24,000. Carry-forward is increased by £14,668 to £55.365.
Rotoiti Timber Company.—The net profit of the Rotoiti Timber Company, Ltd . for the year ended June 30 was £2982, an increase of £539 The ordinary dividend is raised from 5 per cent, to 6 pei cent., the rate which ruled in 1943, with a preference payment of 6 2-5 per cent., less security tax. The sum of £2904 is absorbed in dividends, the balance raising the carry-forward to £2257.—(P.5.5.)

STOCK SALES
RANGIORA HORSE FAIR The T»ntry of 25 horses at rhe Rangiora horse fair yesterday was the smallest for some time. The quality was mixed, only seven or eight first-class draughts being entered. The demand for these was good, and they sold at prices from £l4 to £26 Top price was obtained for an eight-year-old draught horse. There was little demand for indifferent sorts, which made from £2 to £6. Six hacks sold at from £3 to £l5. Two or three ponies were also entered, but the demand for these was limited. One good young pony sold for £lB.
