It is considered imperative that adequate -water, and sewerage services should be provided at Diamond Harbour in order to safeguard the health of that Community, to provide fire*fighting services and to promote further settlement and expansion of that area. An application is therefore being made to the Board of Health for a requisition ordering the Lyttelton Borough Council to provide water and sewerage for Diamond Harbour. The estimated cost of the work is £26,000.
