TWO RABBITERS INJURED IN CAR MJSHAP From Our Own Reporter OAMARU, October 2. Two rabbiters, M. R. Campbell and J. Campbell, were injured when their car skidded and plunged over a bank on the Kurow-Omarama road last evening near Lake Waitaki. The car apparently overturned when it went over a bank and came to rest in shallow water at the edge of the lake. M. R. Campbell was pinned by the car, and his son, J. Campbell, whose injuries were not serious, had to obtain assistance from the Waitaki Hydro Station. Both men were taken to Kurow for medical attention, and M. R. Campbell was later admitted to the Oamaru Public Hospital. His condition is reported to be serious.

TWO PERSONS INJURED WHEN 'CAR STRIKES TREE When returning to Westport from Christchurch on the Lewis Pass road on- Monday, a motor-car, owned by M. Tally, fish merchant, of Westport, and driven by M. T. Smith (Westport), struck a tree which had fallen across the road about nine miles from Reeftcn. Tally, who was a passenger in the car, received injuries which necessitated his admission to Reefton Hospital. His condition is satisfactory. Smith, who was also injured, was able to travel to Westport after receiving treatment at the hospital. The car was extensively damaged.
