INDIAN APPEAL TO SIKHS
WEEK’S CESSATION OF ATTACKS LONDON, September 30. The Deputy Prime Minister of India (Sardar Patel) has appealed to the Sikhs to cease their attacks and retaliations against Moslems for at least a week to see if there is a “satisfactory respfinse,” reports Reuters cor* respondent in New Delhi. He added that if there was not the world would : know who was guilty. Sardar Patel, later, addressing a . meeting at Amritsar, said that the butchery of innocent defenceless men, ; women and children was jungle war ' and the hallmark of inhumanity and barbarisfn.
