WEST COAST The forecast for the West Coast of the South Island is:— Moderate north-easterly winds pre- , dominating. Weather dull and mild I with further rain, heavy at times. | with seme local flooding. Further out--8 look: unsettled. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER Rain fell steadily in Christchurch yesterday, and the total for 24 hours was 1.69 inches. There was a moderate southwest wind. At 1 o’clock this morning it was still raining.
