INDIA PLANS TO TRAIN 1,000,000 TROOPS
(Rec 7 p.m.) NEW DELHI, Sept. 29. India would train more than 1,000,000 soldiers in the United Provinces next year “to make the • people defenceminded. not military-minded,” said the New Delhi radio.
Palestine Ban Lifted.—The Palestine Government has lifed the ban on the entry of British wives and children of men serving in Palestine. The ban was imposed last February.—Jerusalem, September 28.
