MONDAY (Before Mr F. F. Reid. . . REMANDED PHtriek John Holmes, a labourer, aged 24, was remanded until October 6 on a charge of stealing goods and money of a. t of £23 2s 3d, the property of Hugh Victor Baird. Raymond Charles Blackmore, aged 25, an.. Stanley Arthur Blackmore, aged 23, were each charged with behaving in a disoroerly manner and with assaulting a constable. Both accused were remanded x C* ctob e r 6 - Bail for each was fixed at £lO, with one recognisance of £lO. UNLIGHTED BICYCLE. George Ned Woodbury was fined 20s for riding an unlighted bicycle at night.
FINE IMPOSED Roy Edward Stevens was fined 20s for casting offensive matter in a public place.
IMPRISONMENT | Ronald Charles O’Connor, a labourer, aged 18; was sentenced to 14 days’ imprisonment with hard labour on a* charge of being unlawfully cn the premises of John Matthew Jeffrey, Aorangi road.
FALSE PRETENCES Alfred James Brown, aged 25, appeared for sentence on 12 charges of false prei?T s ,Z° w bich he -had pleaded guilty <at w elhngton on November 25, 1946 On the first charge he was sentenced to two months’ imprisonment with hard laoour, the term to be concurrent with a sentence of four months' imprisonment accused is at present serving. On the remaining charges he was convicted and discharged.
